Affinia Healthcare Opens COVID-19 Testing Station in North St. Louis County

On April 13th, Affinia Healthcare begun providing a COVID-19 testing station behind its health center located at 6763 Page Avenue in Pagedale. This site in north St. Louis County is the 2nd COVID-19 testing station established by Affinia Healthcare. The first was opened April 2nd at 1717 Biddle in St. Louis.

Affinia Healthcare deployed one of its mobile health units (RVs) as the staging station for COVID-19 testing. A tent was set up, where patients who have a testing appointment may drive (or walk) through.

“Screening and testing people who are at high risk for COVID-19 are critical as we work together to decrease the spread of the virus across our region,” commented Dr. Melissa Tepe, Chief Medical Officer at Affinia Healthcare. Dr. Kendra Holmes, Chief Operating Officer, stated “Ensuring ready access to testing is the urgent and right thing to do in vulnerable communities where health equity gaps exist among minorities and the underserved.”

Individuals who are concerned they have COVID-19 symptoms need to call Affinia Healthcare for a phone screening and to receive a testing appointment, or other instructions. The number is (314) 833-2777.

“This temporary testing station in St. Louis County is made possible in part by generous financial support from the Community Impact Network, Beyond Housing, and the Missouri Foundation for Health,” noted Dr. Alan Freeman, President and CEO. “Affinia Healthcare is very grateful for their compassionate, community-minded contributions.”
