Affinia Healthcare receives tornado relief grant from the United Way of Greater St. Louis

Affinia Healthcare is proud to announce the federally qualified health center has been awarded a one-time grant of $4,254 from the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
The grant, the Funding Assistance to Non-Profit Organizations Through the Tornado Relief and Recovery Funds, is funded through the City of St. Louis and being managed by the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
In the immediate aftermath of the May 16 tornado, the Health Outreach team deployed and started to deliver supplies the following day. In the days following the tornado, Affinia Healthcare Health Outreach and Community Health Workers hit the pavement, providing support to residents to help them during the crisis.
The award supports costs of unreimbursed Affinia Healthcare personnel and the Mobile Medical RV deployment, which were part of the tornado relief efforts.
Affinia Healthcare partnered with organizations like the Missouri Primary Care Association and Direct Relief to provide supplies to residents and staff impacted by the tornado. The Health Outreach team also aided residents when applying for FEMA funds.
