Affinia Healthcare adds 2nd location for free summer meals for youth
Summer is here, school is out but hunger doesn’t end.
Affinia Healthcare is happy to partner with Operation Food Search to provide free summer meals to youth 18 years and under. The summer meals will be available at two Affinia Healthcare locations: the new Ferguson health center at 3396 Pershall Road, and 3030 South Grand in South St. Louis.
“Affinia Healthcare is proud to continue our partnership with Operation Food Search to serve our communities when it is most needed,” said Dr. Kendra Holmes, Affinia Healthcare president & CEO. “Summer is a time most youth look forward to, but it can be stressful for parents because of the added financial pressure of providing those meals they typically get at school. We hope this collaboration can help parents and children enjoy the summer season without the extra financial stress.”
At the Ferguson location, meals will be distributed from June 3 until August 9. Breakfast will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and lunch from noon to 2 p.m. The site will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
The South Grand location will only provide lunch. The times are noon to 2 p.m., June 3 through July 5. The site will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, July 4, in observance of Juneteenth and Independence Day holidays.
