Nature’s Best

World Breastfeeding Week is August 1-7, 2016. This year’s theme is “Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development.”

The promotion of breastfeeding is important, because it significantly improves the health, development and survival of children. It also contributes to improved health and wellbeing of mothers … both in the short and long term.

Along with World Breastfeeding Week, August is World Breastfeeding Month in Missouri. Our WIC (Women Infants Children) department will celebrate breastfeeding the entire month of August!
